Aladin from Total Padel presents a playtest and review of Agustín Tapia’s new racket, the Nox AT10 12K Extreme. This model marks a significant shift as Tapia moves from the 18K version to the 12K version, which was one of the best-selling rackets of the previous year. Nox has introduced a new mold and fresh technologies to create a versatile tool for the "Mozart of Padel."
The video highlights the technical upgrades and the practical on-court feel of the new AT10 12K.
Surface: It features the new Carbon 12K Alum Extreme. This aluminumized carbon surface is smoother and more uniform, offering greater rigidity and maintaining consistent performance regardless of temperature changes.
Core: The racket uses HR3 Black Eva, a high-density core designed for a maximum memory effect, providing extra power for smashes.
Weight Balance System: A standout feature is the new adjustable weight system. It includes 2g and 4g pieces that allow players to shift the balance. Without plates, it is a control-oriented hybrid; with black plates, it is balanced; and with red plates, it becomes a power-oriented hybrid.
Ergonomics: The grip has been lengthened by 3 cm, which is ideal for players who use a two-handed backhand. It also features a customizable wrist strap for better hygiene and safety.
Feel: The racket feels firmer than the 18K version but remains manageable. It offers a very balanced sensation that does not sacrifice control for hardness.
Control & Spin: When hitting shots requiring precision and effect, the racket provides full control. The sweet spot is responsive, allowing for accurate ball placement.
Power: For smashes and aggressive play, the 12K Extreme is explosive enough to finish points effectively while still allowing the player to generate significant spin.
The Nox AT10 12K Extreme is described as an incredibly complete and balanced racket. It is suitable for both right-side and left-side players who want a combination of precision and aggressiveness. With its new adjustable weight system and improved carbon surface, it stands out as a top choice for players looking for a high-performance, versatile racket.
